Sonya Caceres

Soprano Sonya Caceres made her professional debut as Lady Billows in Britten's Albert Herring on the 2002 Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Concert Series. Earlier in 2002, she was the featured vocal soloist along side Pittsburgh Symphony performers for Mozart’s Gala Birthday at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Concert Series.

A cum laude graduate and Dean’s List Recipient from Duquesne University's Mary Pappert School of Music, Mrs. Caceres appeared as soloist on an international tour with the Duquesne University Chamber Singers. She has also been featured in numerous leading roles with the Duquesne University Opera Workshop.

Sonya’s extensive vocal training includes 16 years of vocal technique study, coachings with numerous world renown artists, a vast knowledge of vocal repertoire, & language skills including Italian, German, French, Latin, & Russian. The American spinto soprano has toured with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh as Gretel in Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel, and as Paul in Barab's The Toy Shop.

Sonya performs at weddings/ galas/ and other special events. Her upcoming plans include a Cabaret CD, Wedding Music CD, and Christmas Compilation CD.
